Gemmae

Gemmae are seed-like leaf buds that form in the winter crown of pygmy sundews. They are one of the easiest ways to propagate the pygmy sundews. In the wild, when ripe, they typically "pop" off in a spring like motion that spreads them beyond the mother plant. They can be treated just like seeds to produce plants.
