Dormancy: No
Native Range: The Tepuis of Northeastern South America

Heliamphora heterodoxa x minor is vigorous growing, medium height, with yellow-green urn-shaped pitchers and large vibrant red helmet nectar spoons. The hip-shaped traps have a distinctive bright red edge, midrib and ala (wing), with a v-shaped slit in the trap opening. They are slightly sweet in fragrance. H. heterodoxa divides regularly and forms nice colonies. The scent-less bell-shaped flowers are yellow, green and white. They bloom anytime during the year. In cultivation, these plant do well in a terrarium in an air-conditioned room with bright light. Fluorescent or LED plant lights with timers on 14 hours/day are recommended. Individuals often show nice red coloration on the inside and outside with red nectar spoons. These are relatively easy to grow, and tolerate a wider range of conditions than some pure species of Heliamphora.

Plants are shipped potted. Photographs are representative of species, and not the specific plant shipped.

Inexperience with Heliphora

Plant looked great on arrival. Some tips started turning black after 10 or 12 days. I kept humidity @ around 70% in a 4x4 tent.I used subdued lighting on this shelf for acclimation.I’m hopeful for a surviving plant.

Lovely little plant!

My Heliamphora arrived very well packaged and had zero damage. The plant is a little smaller than I was expecting but you can’t beat the quality of the plant itself for the low, low price. Excellent vendor to do business with! Very Happy.

USPS sent package to wrong post office for delivery, but not far away so I was able to pick it up.
All 3 plants were in good condition and appear to have started growing. However, the inside of the H. Heterodoxa x minor pitchers appear white. Is this normal?

It’s so beautiful

I bought this kind of plant from different vendors before so i never expected much from this seller, but I was completely wrong! It came in a very well packaged box and had no damage— perfect for my Orchidbox! Will buy another one sooner after i get a bigger space.
