Nepenthes x Miranda, is a very large, robust growing carnivorous tropical pitcher plant. Its large, speckled pitchers can be over 18" with wide mouths the size of coffee cups when fully mature. The hood is narrow and the wings are wide and ruffled. It is heat tolerant and does well in a window. It is quite good at catching large insects, such as: stink bugs, wasps and yellow jackets.  It is a fast grower. Stems can be trimmed to keep the plant bushy, and to start cuttings. It is a great house plant, that can be grown outdoors in the warm weather. It is suitable for beginners.

This clone has been in the hobby for a long time.  It is male. Nepenthes x Miranda is a complex hybrid, most likely the cross N. (northiana x maxima) x maxima. It is a highland.

Unless size specifies "potted", plants are shipped bare-root, wrapped in damp sphagnum moss. Photographs are representative of species, and not the specific plant shipped.

Great plant

I got this little baby two weeks ago. She had a developing pot that did not survive the heat of shipping to my desert home, but already had another little leaf producing a baby pot (pictured).

Im less sure of my ability to provide a neps with its preferred environment in my arrid climate, but i am determined to give it my best shot! I keep a humidifier next to her at all times and give her a spritz with distilled water every day (usually twice a day). The pot hasnt developed yet, but it also hasnt straightened out or shriveled up so heres hoping. She turned a little yellow when i repotted her last weekend, but she seems to be getting back to her normal color after that little shock . If I get this to work i will be spending my winter devising a plan to give her a humidifier while hanging in a window next summer; i may need to enlist my MacGyver husband on that venture lolllll.
